What We Do

Overview

The Roam Project helps young people build confidence, creativity and connection through meaningful experiences. We work with schools, youth groups and community partners to create sessions that are engaging, supportive and accessible to young people aged 7 to 16.
Everything we do is designed to help them explore new ideas, express themselves and feel part of a positive community.

What a Session Looks Like

Each session is designed to be simple, structured and fun:

  1. Welcome and warm‑up
A relaxed start that helps young people settle in and feel comfortable.

  2. Creative or experiential activity
The main part of the session, focused on trying something new or building a skill.

  3. Reflection and sharing
Young people talk about what they enjoyed, what they learned and what they achieved.

  4. Celebrating progress
Small wins, big ideas and proud moments are highlighted and encouraged.

  5. Optional follow‑on tasks
Simple activities they can explore at home or school, keeping their momentum going.
